چکیده
The Pull-up (PU) is a multi-joint upper body exercise that included in the physical fitness assessments for tactical occupations such as police, firefighters, and military personnel. This study aimed to evaluate post-activation performance enhancement (PAPE) PU using elastic resistance training (ERT) traditional (RT). A total of 18 resistance-trained male firefighters (28.3 [5.6] years; 178.1 [6.8] cm; 78.1 [8.2] kilograms; 24.6 [2.4] kg·m-2) participated performed four PAPE protocols cross-over fashion. Two consisted three sets 3 repetitions at 75 85% maximum repetition (RM) lat pull down (LPD-M LPD-H, respectively). other two bands vertical traction (VTEB) “moderate” (VTEB- M) “hard” intensity (VTEB-H), based on Thera Band perceived exertion scale. Repetitions until failure were measured before after application protocols, with an 8-minute pause PAPE. Results showed significant increase exhaustion all protocols: LPD-M (P=0.007, d=0.19), LPD-H (P=0.023, d=0.17), VTEB-M (P=0.01, d=0.13) VTEB-H (P=0.001, d=0.28). use ERT RT moderate high intensities represent proper stimulus generation PU. The Mediating Effects of Caffeine Ingestion and Post-Activation Performance Enhancement on Reactive Dive Times in Goalkeepers
Background. The reactive abilities of goalkeepers are crucial and may directly impact match results. Therefore, research on factors that may enhance goalkeeper performances during diving tasks (DT) and how these factors are mediated would provide valuable information for coaches and goalkeepers. Objectives. The purpose of this investigation was to: (i) assess the impact of caffeine consumption...
متن کاملExercise training in post-myocardial infarction patients.
Programmes of exercise training as a contribution to the rehabilitation of the patient with coronary heart disease (CHD) have received widespread attention during the past few years. Although improvements in work capacity resulting from such training programmes have been reported the mechanism producing the improvement has not been definitely identified. Improved oxygen delivery and extraction ...

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of an 8-week resistance exercise program on balance, walking speed, and muscle strength in elderly women. Methods: This randomized controlled trial was performed on 50 elderly women aged 60-66 years who were assigned to two groups of experimental and control. The Time Up and Go test, was used to measure dynamic balance, Rombe...
متن کاملPost‐resistance exercise hypotension in patients with intermittent claudication
OBJECTIVE To verify the acute effects of resistance exercise on post-exercise blood pressure in patients with intermittent claudication. METHODS Eight patients randomly underwent two experimental sessions: a session of resistance exercise (R: 6 exercises, 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps with a perceived exertion of 11 to 13 on the 15-grade Borg scale) and a control session (C: resting on exercise...
متن کاملResistance strength training exercise in children with spinal muscular atrophy.
INTRODUCTION Preliminary evidence in adults with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and in SMA animal models suggests exercise has potential benefits in improving or stabilizing muscle strength and motor function. METHODS We evaluated feasibility, safety, and effects on strength and motor function of a home-based, supervised progressive resistance strength training exercise program in children wit...
